Research interests

My research activities are concentrated on the building of mathematical representations of systems through the analysis of experimental data. Methodologies for the adaptation of models are developed for applications that range from the analysis of precise experimental data for the study of detailed kinetic mechanisms to the analysis of rough industrial on-line data.

Current Research Activities:
Modeling of differential algebraic systems. Systems with simultaneous reaction and equilibrium: polycondensation reactor control.
Parameter estimation of complex reaction systems. Modeling of heterogeneous and photochemical reactions.
Product design engineering through mixture modeling by multivariate calibration and optimization.
Multivariate Classification of fuels from Near Infrared Spectra.
Classification of fuels from Near Infrared Spectra by Multivariate techniques
Multivariate Classification of fuels from Near Infrared Spectra.
Multivariate calibration applied to petroleum analysis by Near Infrared Spectra.
Experimental planning for product design. Application to vegetable oils transesterification.
Application of adaptative wavelet Galerkin method for the representation of distributed systems.
